Land Purchase Scheme

  • Under the Land Purchase scheme, one acre of wetland or two acres of dry land will be purchased from non-SC/ST land owners.
  • The land will be registered in the name of the wife of the family.
  • The unit cost is Rs.15.00 lakhs for 26 districts, and for the remaining four districts unit cost is
    Rs.20.00 lakhs (Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapura, and Ramanagara)
  • The subsidy will be 50%, and the term loan will be 50% of the unit cost.
  • The beneficiary has to repay the loan in 10 yearly instalments. (Interest Rate is 6%)
  • Land Seller should not belong to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.
  • The price of the land will be decided by the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned District.
